ANNESOME is a boutique architecture, design, and planning studio based in San Francisco, dedicated to crafting deeply considered spaces shaped by context, material integrity, and the lives of those who inhabit them. Working across custom homes, historic renovations, condominium transformations, multi-family ground up, commercial spaces and small-scale infill developments, the studio offers a calm, tailored approach grounded in clarity, collaboration, and long-term value.
The practice is led by Kazuko Anne Kimura, RA, NCARB, founder and principal of ANNESOME. A California-licensed architect, she brings a background shaped by both rigorous architectural training and hands-on experience in high-profile residential work throughout the Bay Area. Her approach bridges architectural discipline with a refined interior sensibility—balancing spatial precision with warmth, texture, and craft.
Prior to founding ANNESOME, Anne contributed to a range of notable residential and mixed-use projects in San Francisco, working within established firms on luxury and market developments. Her experience spans feasibility studies, entitlement strategy, full-scope architectural services, and detailed interior environments—equipping her to guide projects from early vision through construction with both technical fluency and commitment to design.
ANNESOME’s work is distinguished by its material depth and restraint. Whether designing a full-home renovation, tailored space transformations, or advising developers on strategic repositioning, the studio approaches each commission with equal parts discipline and imagination.
Current projects include elevated residential renovations in San Francisco neighborhoods, select collaborations with builders on urban infill and TI opportunities, and strategic feasibility studies for clients exploring long-term property investment in the Bay Area.
At its core, ANNESOME operates on the belief that architecture is not only about form, but about stewardship—of space, of resources, and of clients’ visions. The studio’s work is defined by thoughtful process, clear communication, and environments that feel both grounded and enduring.
